Sylvan Gauge

What is it?

A gauge is a mechanism that forces water to pass through it in such a way that the flow of the water can be measured.

What is the Association’s responsibility?

The Association's responsibility is to maintain the gauge facilities, and to monitor and measure the flow of water through the gauge.

When was it built?

The Sylvan Gauge was built in 1950.

How big is it?

The capacity of the Sylvan Gauge is 350 cfs.

What is the Association’s responsibility?

The Association's primary responsibility is to monitor, deliver, and report water flows. Staff also maintains the facilities at the gauge and ensures it operates properly. The sensors that measure the flow of water also have to be monitored and maintained.
